NeArm® is a wearable FES system for upper-limb rehabilitation. It targets key muscle groups for elbow flexion/extension and shoulder stabilization to support reaching, placing, and functional use of the arm. Timing and intensity can be adjusted to the exercise phase, helping users practice purposeful movements and progress through therapy with clinician guidance.
Adults with upper-limb weakness or spasticity related to Stroke (CVA), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Cerebral Palsy (CP), and certain neurological disorders. Use under clinician supervision.
• Assists reach, placement, and functional arm use
• Supports shoulder stabilization and elbow control
• Helps reduce spasticity and promote more normal tone
• Encourages motor learning, ROM, and endurance
• Integrates with hand training (NeGrasp) for task-oriented therapy
NeArm provides phase-aligned FES to upper-limb muscles to facilitate purposeful reaching and controlled elbow motion. Programs aim to improve activation, tone management, and functional carryover. Based on FES literature; individual results vary. Refer to the User Manual for indications, precautions, and contraindications.
