NeBack® is a wearable functional electrical stimulation (FES) solution focused on back and core muscles. By delivering task-aligned stimulation to trunk extensors and stabilizers, it is designed to support upright posture, improve trunk control, and assist balance during functional activities such as sit-to-stand, reaching, and walking. NeBack can be used alone or alongside other NerveAide devices under clinician guidance.
NeBack provides phase-aligned FES to back/core muscle groups to facilitate postural control during therapy and daily routines. Programs can be adjusted for timing and intensity to match activity demands. Based on FES literature, potential outcomes include improved activation, endurance, ROM, and functional task performance; individual results vary. Refer to the User Manual for indications, precautions, and contraindications.
Adults with reduced trunk control or postural endurance associated with Stroke (CVA), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Cerebral Palsy (CP), aging-related deconditioning, or certain musculoskeletal/neurological conditions affecting posture. Use only under clinician supervision.
• Supports upright posture and trunk stability during tasks
• Assists balance and transitional movements (e.g., sit-to-stand)
• Encourages core activation and endurance in functional training
• Complements gait or upper-limb rehab by improving proximal stability
• App guidance and session logging to aid adherence (clinician-guided)
