NeMax® FES for Gluteus Maximus & Hip Extension
Targeted neuromuscular stimulation for the gluteal complex—supporting hip extension, pelvic stability, posture, and gait propulsion.
What is NeMax®?

NeMax® is a focused FES solution for the gluteus maximus and gluteal muscles. By delivering timed stimulation to support hip extension, pelvic stability, and trunk–hip coordination, NeMax is designed to assist posture, stance control, and forward propulsion in gait. It can be used during sit-to-stand practice, step initiation, stair ascent, and postural drills, and can complement lower-limb devices like neWALK / neWALK+ under clinician guidance.

Product Overview

NeMax delivers phase-aligned FES to gluteus maximus (± gluteus medius as configured) to facilitate task-oriented training. Parameters (intensity, timing, duty cycle) can be tailored to the movement phase to promote effective contractions while maintaining comfort. Based on FES literature, potential outcomes include improved activation, endurance, ROM, and functional task performance; individual results vary. Refer to the User Manual for indications, precautions, and contraindications.

Who NeMax® Helps

Adults with weakness or deconditioning of the gluteal muscles or difficulty generating hip extension/pelvic stability associated with: Stroke (CVA), TBI, incomplete SCI, MS, CP, aging-related weakness, or certain musculoskeletal/neurological conditions affecting posture and gait. Use only under clinician supervision.
